Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Electricity was on yesterday and last night. I don't trust that it will stay on but at least for a day it is alive and I have heat and the well pumps water. The worst of the cold has passed. Today I find the broken pipes.
They do not hide. They let their presence be known. The sound and a fury of plumbing expense.
